The Barbour Foundation

Grants are available to registered charities for projects that address health issues, education issues, preservation issues (such as features that are of special environmental, historical or architectural interest), and to relieve those in hardship or distress in Northumberland, Durham, North and South Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Registered charities operating in Northumberland, Durham, North and South Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne are eligible to apply. Objectives can include: The relief of persons resident in the North East of England who are in condition of need, hardship or distress as a result of local, national or international disaster, or by reasons of their social and economic circumstances.
Or to help improve the employment prospects of young people and to alleviate their problems of homelessness in the North East of England.
