Who is this for?

Will fund charitable activities benefiting residents of Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside. Priority will be given to those which:
ease social deprivation and/or enrich the fabric of the local community and the quality of life of individuals within that community. Grants are available to support organisations’ core costs, as well as discreet projects, and will generally range from £750 to £10,000.

Community and voluntary groups that are not able to register as charities may apply with a letter of support from a suitable registered charity (such as a local CVS) which is willing to hold the grant on their behalf. Groups must have an annual income of less than £1 million. 5 grants available: Crowdfunding Challenge Grants: up to £25,000, to match fund crowdfunding campaigns.
Project Viability Grants: up to £15,000, for early viability and feasibility work (covered separately).
Project Development Grants: up to £100,000, for capital project development costs (covered separately).
Transformational Project Grants: up to £350,000, for transformational capital projects (covered separately).
Community Shares Booster Grants: development grants up to £10,000 and equity investments up to £50,000 for Community Benefit Societies and Cooperatives. This grant programme is being managed by Co-Operatives UK on behalf of AHF. (Once launched, it will be covered separately).
