Applications are welcomed from charities supporting older people, or from hospices that are able to show they provide equitable care to older people. Whilst the Trustees recognise that people aged over 65 traditionally may have been considered old, this arbitrary age cut-off rarely defines true old age in the modern era. Applications are therefore expected to demonstrate clearly defined benefits to older people who are frail.
